Finance Manager, Finance

Job summary

Is responsible for implementing and executing the financial system, policies, procedures, and operating standards established by the corporate finance office and overseeing daily financial/accounting processes and business operations. Oversees financial accounting, budget management, capital planning, tax planning, and the development of internal controls. Strictly adheres to accounting standards, financial reporting standards, and relevant education industry regulations, implementing and maintaining school financial and accounting systems approved by the corporate finance office. Leads the finance team to efficiently complete various tasks, and provides professional financial support and risk management for the school's strategic planning, business decisions, and sustainable development. This role involves:

  1. Ensures adherence to all control policies and procedures.
  2. Manages daily accounting work, reviews important account processing and financial vouchers to ensure the authenticity, accuracy, and completeness of accounting data and financial statements.
  3. Prepares, monitors, and adjusts budgets and funding plans, and forecasts expenditures, revenues, and cash flow. Reasonably allocates and distributes funds.
  4. Coordinates annual audits, special audits, and tax inspections, etc.
  5. Manages all types of tax declarations, payments, and filings to avoid tax risks.
  6. Coordinates fund transfer requests between LifePlus entities.
  7. Implements and maintains the financial risk early warning system established by corporate finance.
  8. Oversees the training and development of the finance department.
  9. Works closely with Corporate Finance, internal departments, and external institutions.
  10. Carries out other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or taxation.
  • Holds the required accounting certificates or is familiar with industry laws and regulations; possesses comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, finance, taxation, internal control, and cost management.
  • Works in the related position for 3-5 years.
  • Is proficient in Word, Excel, and preferably in Sun/INFOR, and has needed software skills.
  • Has excellent abilities in management, financial analysis, strategic planning, risk management, and problem-solving.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, professional ethics, and confidentiality awareness; excellent leadership, communication, coordination, and stress resistance skills; strong awareness of cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Has a good command of the language required for the position.
