Wellbeing Counselor

Job Summary

Responsible for providing support to students, teachers, and parents to ensure an emotionally and socially healthy student body in cooperation with administration and other staff. This role involves: Meeting with new students and monitoring their adjustment, meeting one-on-one with students who are struggling, and providing small group counselling. It also requires connecting with teachers, principals, and parents to identify student needs, issues, and problems, and providing suggestions. Additionally, it also collaborates with other staff to support the parent community, assists the Student Services team, participates in professional development, and carries out other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Qualifications and requirements

Has a Bachelor’s Degree in counseling or a counseling certificate. Has a sensitivity to multicultural perspectives. Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, execute, and evaluate in the office and classroom setting.
