Transportation Coordinator

Job summary

Responsible for coordinating the use of the school bus and other transportation vehicles for daily and transportation and trips for students and staff.
This role involoves:

1. Establishing and implementing school regulations and policies in transportation services base on the local authority policies.
2. Locating and negotiating with bus companies for contracts, price, safety and scheduling.
3. Overseeing and supervising all bus drivers, ensuring safe and good quality bus services under the lead and superviosion of the supervisor.
4. Participating in designing school bus stops and time schedules under lead and superviosion of the supervisor. When necessary, informs parents and students of changes.
5. Managing bus monitors, ensuring all regular and late buses have bus monitors.
6. Calculating amount to pay bus companies and bus monitors (for taxies) monthly.
7. Managing school bus drills and participate in relevant busing trainings.
8. Coordinating in arranging all trips needed by school and staff approved by the supervisor.
9. Managing and operating of vehicles with asset rights owned by the school.
10. Carring out other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

Qualifications and requirements

1. Has related training.
2. Is familiar with transportation services.
3. Preferably has experience in busing related management.
4. Is physically and mentally fits for the workload.
5. Has coordination and negotiation skills.
6. Has a good command of English and Chinese for national staff.
